I don't know Goiphan and don't recall seeing his posts, but this is so terrible it makes me recall to the time my friend, Oliver Slezak, was killed right outside of our school last year by a speeding school bus. Soon it will be Oliver's aniversary too. I am sorry and please rest in peace.

I hope that he knew what a large community of people respected and appreciated him

It's absolutely terrible when someone dies so young, it's a completely different feeling of loss. I lost one of my best friends at the age of 17 and it hit me a lot harder than losing my grandfather whom I was very close with.

My name is Javier and I'm one of Goiphan's friends, the one who informs yesterday to administrators. I think my brother has written to Berg (really don't know exactly the name) about the sad news. I knew Juan MIguel since 20 years ago. Right now I'n not exactly in the mood to write a large text but I knew deep in the hearth he'll be glad to hear he was apreciated here. He spokes a lot about PSPISO and his members, he tells me a lot of times he has great friends here and is the reason I joined some months ago. I must thank you in the name of his family and friends all the comments and good ideas you say. Also say is not necessary to make a collect for his family, luckyly he has no money problems and I think he we'll be happy if anyone helps to continue PSISO. Tomorrow will be the memorial and the funeral will be next friday.

I can only say thanks for the support. We knew he'll never be forgot and we remember him has the great person he was.

that is truly sad news... i am someone who was helped by Goiphan a few times in my early months of using this site.. and then a few times recently also. i didnt know him personally, but i know that he was the one who prevented me from bricking my PSP the first time i started soing beyond just a custom firmware.. not that that really matters.

its seriously a big hit to the head reading all these tributes.. shows that people actually do remember him as a person who genuinely helped where he could, and not just a post thrown into a thread with a warning or something similar..

i feel as though i am not really worthy enough to write here, as i didnt get to actually chat to him as a friend, but i can see that he really made an impact in a few peoples lives.

THough the name doesnt ring a bell, but as a member of PSPISO , a community of the world in a place, it sadens to know that another has passed on. It might seem strange for even a total stranger who's no known contact to feel sad, but the sadness comes from loosing another , who's part of the community.

I went and searched Goiphan to remember and read his words again. I am more of a visual person and when I saw his Sig I remembered instantly who he was. I remember looking at his sig and I just couldnt look away sometimes. It is very interesting. I have to do more research into the sig and find info on the painting thats on it. He had one of the best sig's that I feel actually said something from the soul not just the heart. Really sophisticated taste. I can tell he enjoyed the art that is life and death. I feel if we always think or talk about a person then they are never gone. I will always think about Goiphan through his Sig. It left an impression on me.

Regret never had the opportunity to deal with Goiphan, but certainly left an overwhelming impression on the community ...

i am very new to this site, but i really appreciate all that the staff does on this site, sorry for the unfortunate news, seems he was well respected so i wish the best for all who knew him.

It is with heavy heart that I have to tell the community about the unexpected loss of one of our own members of staff, Juanmi, who was known to us all as Goiphan.

He suffered a suspected stroke yesterday and died instantly. He was in his early thirties and seemed a healthy man by all accounts, so this loss has come as a real shock.

Those who have had the pleasure of speaking and dealing with him, will know he was truly good man, generous of spirit and always willing to help, with a keen intellect and a bright future ahead of him.

We will truly miss him here, and can only send our heartfelt condolences to his close friends and family in Barcelona, Spain.

I never got to know Goiphan much, maybe just saw him around the forums a few times, i wish i had the privilege of being able to know him, he seems like such a great person. Thank you Goiphan for making this site all the better. May you rest in piece brother, we will all miss you ;(

I've never actually talked to Goiphan, but I have heard that he was an amazing Mod.
He contributed to this site since it was still an SMF site, pretty long ago.
It is really sad to hear this, it is not the first time this has happened to our community.

the unexpected loss of one of our own members of staff, Juanmi, who was known to us all as Goiphan.

A loss in ANY community is heartfelt, and all I can say is rest in peace..

i just logged in and came across this terrible news.
i really don´t know what to say.. i´m still quite shocked, but i would like to give my condolences to his family and to all who new him.

I don't know if I missed it but how did PSPISO find out about his death? I read he was helping the filming of a movie and it made me sad he didn't get to finish. You guys out there are awesome, old members and new ones showing respect for Goiphan.
