I'm very sorry to have to pass on this news.

Our dear friend and companion Jasmine, Mys Videl, passed away two nights ago.


Those of us who knew her well were well aware that she was very ill and we had known its was ultimately terminal for some time. That doesn't make it easier to loose such a young bright girl who had so much more life to live.


Mys Videl always gave her time and support to us here, and in other communities, even as she fought her illness. Her support was invaluable, and her technical expertise was the only reason we eventually managed to migrate PSPiso successfully to Vbulliten. We will miss her support and expertise greatly.

Moreover, we will miss her as a friend. Jasmines management style didn't always win her friends as she was never afraid to 'ruffle a few feathers', but many of you, like us, became firm friends with her and discovered what a warm caring and considered friend she could be. I shall miss her terribly, and I'm not ashamed to admit I'm shedding a tear as write this.

Oh boy...it never ends. I really had high hopes when I heard of her illness that maybe she'd live much longer, as I was telling Pirate. She was only a little older then myself, and she seemed like a very accomplished person. Hell, she's the reason a lot of us have our accounts still. Even more, why PSPISO got back up in the first place. Even though I didn't know her personally, it's still very shocking. So as always, I wish her family well.

Tintin, any thoughts of maybe gathering some donations to send her family something?

Mys Videl was one great administrator as well as a great friend. I know she has had some hard times but she was still the strongest person i know. I really can't express how i feel over this post. I will never be able to get to the full extent on how great she was.

I know how the people who were close to Mys Videl feel as I was close to my Gran and she passed away last Wednesday so my heart reaches out to those people very much. Death stuns us all and there is never a good time for it to come. I never knew Jasmine personally however I do realize that she did an awful lot for this site and without her it would not be here today, we must be thankful for that. When I started on the forum I looked up to Mys Videl and I admired her for what she had done, I can't believe she has gone. Jasmine, have an amazing time in heaven. Rest in peace, Taz

OMG! Are you serious? I've been gone for only a week, and a misfortunate event happens. I am very sad to be reading this, and I only hope for the best for her family, as I did for Goiphan. She tributed much of her time, and dedication to the iso sites, and it is a sad time of life, to see us lose such a good admin, and of course, friend. As Tintin, I am also crying as I am typing this, as I knew Jasmine well. She had helped me when I was first here, posting in wrong sections, and flaming. Soon all the moderators and admins became people that I looked up to, and wanted to be part of that. Like me, she climbed the ladder, to reach such a high rank. But that doesnt matter, what matters was simply just her dedication to this site. Again, all I can say is R.I.P, and I wish the best for her and her family.

I remember a conversation she had with the community a while back now... she didn't like to talk about life after death and she was talking about her illness and treatments. (very sad)

What I remember about the conversation was that she was strong and had already accepted her fate. Many people felt pity and wished her well. I was one of those who wished her well and told her I would pray for her.

I was not sure then... as I am not sure now if she appreciated the gesture. But even with the harsh reality of her situation I could sense her strength. She never burdened anyone here with her illness nor did she ever ask for people to feel sorry for her.

It was her strength that stuck with me. And now that she has passed I hope that she as found peace. She will be missed.

What a ridiculous question! Why would anyone 'make up' such tragedy?

We have about half a million members. Unfortunately, people die a lot - thats the harsh reality of life. I'm sure we have lost many other members over the years, and I certainly know of some others. We find out in exactly the same way as anyone finds out about such things. Friends and family who know how important these communities were to them, let us know that they have gone and give us the details. In Goiphans case, some of his best friends informed me, and in Mys Videls case, her cousin who had been such support for her during her illness, let me know after she finally passed on.

But those that give freely to make this site a better place have a special place in our hearts, and many people who have used this site a lot, and staff who work a lot on this site, have come to know and love people like Mys Videl and Goiphan. When losing a close friend, its only right to mark their passing and pay some respect.

Those of us close to My Videl always knew she had a terminal illness. Thats what made her willingness to help us and spend her time with us so special. She knew she was spending some of her last moments on earth helping us and the community - it was something she truly cared about.

I would urge any you - next time you walk past a collection on behalf of a cancer charity, think of Jasmine and give what you can. Its takes so many lives prematurely, the young as well as the old.

I can't beleive that she has died, I never spoke to her over msn but I did notice all that she had done for the sight. I never knew that she was ill and I never got on to the meaning in some of her post's, it seems like God takes the good ones first and she was one of the good ones. I will always remember her and all she has done, Rest in peace and help to guide through our lives,

R.I.P Jasmine, we will never forget you and you will always be in our hearts. For some reason god takes away the good from us without a reason, and its one of those tragedies that just leave you there trying to figure out WHY.

I've heard somewhere sientist cold be able to cure cancer through molecules. But it will be in 10 year or so. Hopefully not more people will suffer from this disease. May god be good with her.

Awww.. jasmine.... she was such a GReat FRIEND... i remember i Told her "Ask Titntin Very nicely to promote you to Uploader status".. and She did and she was... from then me and her would have Conversations Through PM's And i did know about her condition.. and then i was sadden about it.. She Would Ask me why do i put 3 periods at the end of my sentences (....) , and i just repled.. its a habit..lol. She Was A Great Member To This Forum!

What a ridiculous question! Why would anyone 'make up' such tragedy?

We have about half a million members. Unfortunately, people die a lot - thats the harsh reality of life. I'm sure we have lost many other members over the years, and I certainly know of some others. We find out in exactly the same way as anyone finds out about such things. Friends and family who know how important these communities were to them, let us know that they have gone and give us the details. In Goiphans case, some of his best friends informed me, and in Mys Videls case, her cousin who had been such support for her during her illness, let me know after she finally passed on.

But those that give freely to make this site a better place have a special place in our hearts, and many people who have used this site a lot, and staff who work a lot on this site, have come to know and love people like Mys Videl and Goiphan. When losing a close friend, its only right to mark their passing and pay some respect.

Those of us close to My Videl always knew she had a terminal illness. Thats what made her willingness to help us and spend her time with us so special. She knew she was spending some of her last moments on earth helping us and the community - it was something she truly cared about.

I would urge any you - next time you walk past a collection on behalf of a cancer charity, think of Jasmine and give what you can. Its takes so many lives prematurely, the young as well as the old.

i didn't mean for it to sound ridiculous it just seemed to be a coincidence that two well know members would pass away in such a short time...

Very sad to read know this. I never got a chance to know her or Gophian. Its time for us to get to know our members, our comunity.

Well I would like to say I hope she rests in peace
and that we lose alot of young people & experienced on this site.

I can't believe this. I just can't. It was like only yesterday when Mys Videl and I were arguing over one of the applications here. Now OMG. MYS, I just want to say how truly sorry I am and I hope that you will rest in peace eternally...

such a wonderful person to all of us. though i did not know her personally, i'm sure that she was wonderful. its always sad to loose someone.

She was one of the more friendlier members I noticed when I joined...Rest In Peace.

Oh... I did't know about this until today. I had no idea she was sick. Damn... another soldier gone. I wonder what she died of (but I will not ask). Hopefully nothing painful. RIP.

This news saddens me, my prayers go out to her parents. I can't imagine how her parents must feel , my daughter is 19 and I can't imagine what could be like loosing her, I write this while crying. May you find green pastures on which you can lay to rest peacefully by God's side.

I dont usually make posts but when i started my account i use to always look for mys videl posts. I missed her when she left and i am sad to hear what happen

I never really knew her but, i know what it feels like to know someone has a terminally ill virus/disease [in my case the person i know has cancer] It must have been horrible on the countdown to it i am so so sorry for this loss :'(

...my girlfriend has an astrocytoma, the doctor says she won't make it to her 16th birthday, but I'm hoping against hope that he's wrong. She's fighting it too, and she's getting closer to it every day.

My thoughts go out to Jasmine, even though I didn't know her.
